We desperately need love.
We are completely dependant.
There is no question of becoming independant of this.
It is the mind that create loneliness
by rejecting God's many attempt to show us love,
because of fear, comfort, laziness
vague ideas about what is right or wrong,
not believing what seems too good to be true,
or not believing in magic.
Everything about our false selve is designed to isolate us.
Faith take us beyond ourselves.
Faith is the cure for loneliness.
But sometimes, perhaps,
even God wants us to feel lonely.

Many thought flow to my mind as I read this...
"perhaps God wants us to feel lonely"... indeed a concept... I find relevance here... We are isolated, we are prisoners to our mind... or vice versa... we are our minds... their is little in the way of becoming one...
I personally love this concept... As for curing loneliness... One needs to feel lonely once in a while... it makes companionship more meaningful... does that make sense?
Sorry for the rambling... I think I should go to sleep...
Perhaps God wants us to feel lonely ....
Such a sweet way of saying it .
Truly , truly heart-speak .

Oh the never ending craving for love...
Yes perhaps God does want us to feel lonely for a time - but we manage to prolong the agony ourselves in our little lives.
I don't want to feel lonely anymore...
So I must turn to my soul, to my faith, mustn't I? Is it too much to want love on the physical plane too? From a significant other?
I know that is often not really love but a mish mash of other emotions, needs and demands. I strive for the freeing kind of love - unconditional love.
Mossy, thankyou. Your words have helped me process some things I was feeling. I believe in magic and I believe your words contain magic. Blessings.
your words are the truth and the wonderful helper to deal with current confusion. We need not wise musings but the love. We need open our heart to God who is the eternal love.
Therefore the verse "But sometimes, perhaps, even God wants us to feel lonely." gave me a good shake. I couldn't imagine such God's wish but I couldn't deny such feelings too. Thus it was confusing at first, but I understood the meaning of that "controversy" and all ambiguity vanished from sight immediately - God allows us to feel the loneliness FOR we could want to return to our heavenly home and will do that consciously. Just the obedience to the Church is good but not enough. We need the personal desire for to accept God's love for to live in faith that gifts us the wings.
Sense of loneliness is very painful, but the obligatory for the healing and therefore I rejoice over God's wisdom to allow us thinking we were left alone. That makes us want to be healed.
Ultimately, we start the sharing of the divine love as the personal experience of the meeting with the miracle that revived us.
Thank you Friends for reading and commenting. It is a pleasure to have you here with me.
"But sometimes, perhaps, even God wants us to feel lonely."
Yes, because He thinks lonliness will lead us to aloness. And only in aloneness we become complete: Hermit!
